Honestly when I first heard "Hey they're adding Batwoman to the DC TV shows" my first thought was "Oh cool hope they don't gently caress it up like they did the comic when I was reading it" which was ages ago when it first came out, about until the time the first artist bailed out and the replacement sucked and then Rucka bailed on the book because DC were being poo poo heads about something or other. Probably the relationship between Kate and the cop whose name escapes me now. I figured the outrage would be because they cast a straight woman in the role but nope, it's because she's not Jewish. I wonder what it's like to live your life in a perpetual state of outrage because things aren't exactly as you want them to be.

I pointed out that Samuel L Jacksons likeness was borrowed for the comic Nick Fury years before the avengers movies but got no proper response.
