How old is old enough to take a child to look at the civil engineering projects of the majestic American South West? I've never been to Vegas and the kid would get a kick out of the Hoover Dam I think?

lol i didn't know. all i know is cancer rates at background radiation levels don't really conform to the LNT, which i find surprising but not impossible? i didn't know this was controversial :v:

generally everyone seems to agree that LNT is inadequate, but disagree on everything else, like how much radiation is the "cutoff" point where LNT stops working, or the alternative and even less researched idea that low amounts of radiation are actually good for you by turning on DNA repair mechanisms more often. science itself hasn't really satisfactorily answered these questions so forums arguments about them are extra super duper derail-y :v:

you still get to go down into the generator hall, it's not bad, definitely would recommend and your kid would probably love it just for how darn immense the thing is. i'd think most kids love big whirring machines and surreally enormous structures they can lean over and spit off of

reminder that back when i had an ambien prescription for working 2nd shift to make it so i could go home and immediately go to sleep after getting off work at 1 am and not sleep through the whole day the next day, i took it BEFORE the shower instead of after my shower when i was already in bed one time and i woke up banned for posting in the coupons forum asking for help making "strawberry casserole" and i woke up to find my ice cream maker broken, and a strawberry smoothie poured into a casserole dish sitting on the top rack of my oven, which i was apparently too out of it to turn on and burn down my house.

if you are gonna take an ambien, do it when you are already in bed and don't have access to the internet and turn your goddamn lights off IMMEDIATELY.

ambien stories used to be funny and then an old friend of my father's / the father of some of my childhood friends took an ambien, got into bed, and then took a lethal overdose of the pain pills stored on his nightstand while his wife was dozed off in front of the TV downstairs

I'm also fairly certain that an IRC friend who used to do some hilarious ambien chatting ended up killing himself a decade ago by inadvertently escalating to ambien motorcycling

Yeah it's really not funny. Its a bad, dangerous, overprescribed drug that could easily be replaced by zopiclone or etizolam.

I used to take like 50mg of benadryl to help me sleep but apparently it might be, like, bad? It also sometimes made me super :zombie: in the mornings.

So now I'm taking 10mg of melatonin and it's nice to dream again and I'm much less :zombie:.

Except that now I itch like loving crazy all night all throughout hay fever season which wasn't a problem when I was taking huge doses of rather potent antihistamines.

i tried every loving sleep med under the sun before they put me on a low dose of this old-rear end depression med called doxepin. nothing else worked, but that did. no grogginess either. ask your doctor if doxepin can help.

melatonin pills in the US are huge. my doctor said to start with 0.5mg and the smallest tablets i could find were 1mg, and they weren't easy to find. most bottles were the 10mg variety, as shown: https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/nature%27s-bounty-maximum-strength-melatonin-10-mg-capsules/ID=prod6031117-product

i just wish preparations were regulated like drugs if doctors are going to prescribe a dosage
