He was also the narrator. Non-Pok�mon roles included Old Joseph Joestar from Stardust Crusaders, Mr.Satan from Dragonball and Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series. The guy was a powerhouse apparently.

They did say they wanted it to be more accessible to kids getting into the franchise or parents showing off Pokemon to their kids.

I'm kind of treating this as a proof of concept for the eventual full game. I might still crack and pick it up since nostalgia and Pokemon following you but I think I can safely skip this game and not miss anything. That being said all it takes is a new game plus or dlc to implement the underthehood mechanics.

Abilities also might make the game too easy as you can already play two on one.

Kids have zero issue with abilities, they've been playing Actual Pokemon with abilities for almost 20 years

There aren't abilities because it's a nostalgia grab for Gen 1 Only adults and they dont know what abilities are

Yeah that whole "Trying to make it more accessible to children" thing is kind of marketing BS cause Kids are still buying and playing pokemon. they're still really simple single player RPGs that you can face roll through. It's why they have hours of tutorials.

Pokemon Go and now Let's Go are mostly just nostalgia grabs for Gen 1 Only adults to go "Oh yeah I remember Koffee. Jim from Team Rocket used it."

Speaking of Go did they put in gen 3 pokemon yet?
