Onstad hanging out with Bill Oakley + his comments in that last interview mean we're probably going to see another terribly voiced achewood cartoon (or at least pitch reel) soon.

The funny thing is, Onstad's Roast Beef voice, which was supposed to be a placeholder until they got an actual voice actor to do it, was the best one because it basically matched how I always imagined RB sounding.

I keep meaning to ask about this. He describes an Achewood plotline where Todd passes out on the grill at a Ray party and is found burnt to ash the next morning. Did that happen at all? Or was it invented for the song?

I was at a nerd party and people were playing Rock Band and I listened to the lyrics, and it slowly dawned on me that it was about Achewood. I asked people playing if they liked Achewood, but no, they just liked the song. This was when Achewood was still going, and I'd seen the "our current theme song" link at the bottom for a while but assumed for some reason that it was just some upbeat instrumental song and never clicked on it.

The song is a mishmash of different strips, it's not 1:1 with anything.

Maybe more recent strips from like less than ten years ago, will be added too. I thought I had dreamed up the reverse toilet cobra before finding it randomly.

In order to be able to search something there has to be a transcript of it. Achewood is a comic so that doesn't happen automatically, someone had to put time in to create the transcript. You could do something like OCR, but the question is whether Onstad wants to spend the money on doing that for his latter day stuff and then having someone QC and polish it (because OCR is never perfect).

I remember I was about to start doing some transcriptions of some later comics to help out, but the problem was the transcription had to be approved by Onstad himself. So even though I finished a couple when there was no response to them I didn't bother anymore.
