Yeah intros like Batman the Animated Series and Twin Peaks are great and timeless. On the other side of the coin, I loved watching as a kid the Disney Afternoon shows, but I hated the intros for most of them (except Ducktales, that one was great). Really hated the Talespin one the most, even through I loved the show.

FCLC probably had one of my favorite outros in a show.

I'll second this one. I've shown lots of people just the opening credits and nothing else of the show, and they've been slack jawed and have to know what the show is.

Old M:I is so good. I only got into it a few months ago, when all the hype was building around the release of M:I Fallout, and it occurred to me that I'd never once seen an episode of the original.

Do watch the intro sequence for the 1980's revival of M:I in that video (starting at 4:23) if you want to see some of the most purestrain 80s poo poo imaginable. I've watched a few episodes of that one, too, and... maybe it gets better? I don't think it's held up as well as the late 60s/early 70s episodes; it feels a little bit low-budget and tacky in a way I can't quite put my finger on.

Mister Kingdom posted:

I do love the way he visibly blinks when firing the shot. I didn't know that about the angle, though; it's pretty hilarious that people were having Great Train Robbery-style reactions to a TV comedy in 1986.

As much as I like Burn Notice, that had not aged well from the second it entered the writer's head. Having a main character be a former gun-runner for the IRA is pretty tasteless.

That said, the current UK government currently employs former IRA gun-runner, so perhaps it hasn't aged all that badly...

The best episode of SVU (and pretty much the last one that I watched) is one of the episodes featuring Ludacris as Finn's son, on trial for something or the other, where he gets off largely by pointing out all the amazingly hosed up things the SVU squad does on a regular basis. The end of the episode has pretty much the entire cast facing disciplinary charges or being threatened with worse. It is the perfect ending to the show if you ask me.

This was a good one. It nailed Stabler for brutalizing suspects and helping his daughter skate on a DUI, Benson for helping her half-brother escape the cops when he was a murder suspect, and I can't remember the others.

The Drew Carey Show started in 1995, the last year before Art Modell moved the Browns. So they filmed that just before the fans ripped out the seats after the last game and then demolished in 1996.
