My dad died in an accident a little under a month ago, and it's basically cast a pall on everything else in my life. There's this undercurrent of "everything is terrible now" that permeates everything I do, because there's a giant hole in my life that is going to take a long, long time to patch over. It isn't something I'd wish on anyone.

With that being said, McCain has clearly made his peace with his own mortality, and it's not like people celebrating it on this dead gay comedy forum are going up to his family and rubbing their faces in their grief. It's pretty drat harmless, which can't be said about stuff McCain supported in his career.

At this point, we need McCain to live past the first week of January. (Unless the current shitlord residing in the AZ governor's mansion wins re-election in which case it won't matter)

If we have a Dem governor when McCain dies, then that will be amusing. He will have to pick a Republican who was registered as a republican at the time McCain was elected, but he's free to pick the most RINO republican possible or some recently converted Democrat who forgot to change his registration.

Sorry for your loss. Celebrate the time you had with him and not without else you�ll go insane. Hopefully you snapped some video/audio. My mom died when I was 21 and 18 years later it still sucks but I had some time that�s more than others. My only wish is to hear her actual voice because I was a moron and never video taped her. Still hoping one day video pops up somewhere. With that said the best response id make about McCain is he got a chance at a long life and to raise his kids because not everyone can.

I'm really sorry to hear that. My dad passed a week after Trump's inauguration, and I think I basically just shut down for a month or two, that whole winter's a blur. It does get better, just very slowly. Hanging out with friends helped me, even if it was the last thing I wanted to do at the time. But you know what works for you better than I do, so just do whatever you need to.

That said, yeah, gently caress the McCains.
