The woman is using Arab to mean evil Muslim/terrorist and McCain, someone whose foreign policy bona fides rested on vocal hatred toward the Middle East, knew that. Even in the most generous read of McCain’s response, he still sidestepped the racism that he and his party had cultivated for decades (especially post-9/11). He got political points for “defending” Obama while not actually denouncing the racism of the voters he desperately wanted/needed. Which all stands without even mentioning how racist the McCain campaign and the GOP were during 2008. Using that video to praise McCain is weak poo poo.
