When they list off statistic of people dying from poor air quality you tend to wonder how, until you get hypoxia from your own lovely air! It was also super hot so that was affecting me too. The last few summers have been way hot, to the point scientists say it is no longer a heat wave, this is our new normal. That's the biggest reason we're burning down up here. It's super hot, super dry, and we haven't let any small natural fires happen for over 100 years so now we're just one giant tinder box and our fires are massive and completely beyond control.

We have acres and acres of very dry, giant old cedars. Supposed to get rain in a couple days...I have no idea how the neighbor's sheep and llamas are alive in the heat. Anyway have a cheerful hammock meeting. Yes we were out in the smoke, but hey we lived.
