Bumping on a developing spine and neck is loving terrible. Contact sports in general are really bad for kids. I have idiot family members who put their 8 year old kid in tackle football and I can't even fathom how dumb they have to be to think it's OK.

i remember being a kid and also a fan of wrestling, and also having tall friends who would chokeslam me (as a work). it would probably have been safer if a real wrestler chokeslammed me instead and my back wouldn't hurt still. but i would have been exposed to the wrestling business which might have been more dangerous to me in the long run. but i would have been living my dream and i would have been a lot happier. so, you know, Doc Holliday had tuberculosis his whole life and lived each day as if it were his last, and became a legend. maybe Izzy knows her own life better than any of us, and will die a hero's death.

Based on Izzy's calls into Busted Open, it seems that she is truly serious about getting into wrestling. She's found her thing, and I can't fault her for training. That doesn't absolve the parents, they should have never let her take those bumps. (The last time I heard her on the show, Mark Henry told her not to take bumps yet and this was before the match.)
