Hmm yes the offensive line performed better in preseason against a team that didn't start it's best pass rusher. Definitely indicative of an improved line.

They played better than expected against almost all the Vikings starters, and having a year of a healthy Duane Brown, better coaching, more blocking TEs, and some actual goddamn personnel consistency for once should drag them closer to league average. But come the hell on, preseason defenses are vanilla and there's still a Germain Ifedi sized hole at RT. He's only a week out from Melvin Ingram making him look like a high schooler. His backup is the basketball player we tried to convert to LEFT tackle a couple years ago before he tore his ACL. Fant has learned some, but, uh, https://www.fieldgulls.com/2018/8/2...-offensive-line He's not exactly starting caliber. I'm a Seahawks fan so I'm probably overly optimistic that the offense will look better than last year, but that's because it's hard for it to look much worse. Hell, anything more than zero red zone rush TDs would be an improvement.

Didn't we learn our lesson about signing Green Bay backup QB's several years ago? Edit: And if Russ gets hurt we are a 0-16 team so at that point nothing matters.

It was a 6th round pick FYI. Hundley probably does give you a SLIGHTLY better chance to win than McGough if RW goes down, but imo Kizer is who they should've hoped for. At least it isn't the 2nd they were offering to the Colts.

6th round pick tier is basically "gently caress it, just pick somebody for a slot we need" level.

tyler lockett is very very good

Lockett was injured two years ago and still healing last year, but seems 100% now and could take the leap. His baseline at least is a decent productive receiver and he has a good rapport with Russ, but if he has a breakout year he could have cost a ton of money. Guess the Hawks felt a little burned by losing Paul Richardson and wanted to ensure some continuity.

Paul RIchardson got five years, 40 million. To me, Lockett is the most exciting person to watch on the Hawks outside of some RWBM. The Wilson->Baldwin receptions could be pretty special, but when Lockett manages to break out, it's amazing.
