There's a pretty wide gap between wanting to spend $800 up front for something and being able to budget $35 a month to gaming. Why are you so apparently concerned how people decide to spend their money?

It’s not 800 up front.. we keep laughing at you because you think paying full price for two years of Xbox live and games pass is acceptable when it’s discounted all the time. And the fact you’re going on contract for a game console that is going to be price dropped in two months and obsolete by the time you’re done paying for it. And why would you sign up for 2 years of any console service upfront. Pretty optimistic saying you’re going to be utilizing every month of that

I think the US is dumb for not using Celsius
The only reason to ever sign up for this program is because the console just came out and it is the only way to get one because it's sold out everywhere else. I like the overall concept, but it's just not a good deal when you consider you can save so much money by just waiting for sales and saving that 35 dollars a month yourself. Not to mention the fact that if your console shits out, you can just say "well I already spent the money, this sucks but at least I'm not still paying Microsoft 35 dollars a month for absolutely nothing."

They uncapped the framerate for Asylum, but not City (still 30 fps).

Arkham Asylum now takes up 29 GB and Arkham City 42 GB

The X1S All Access Plan isn't terrible, but is still more expensive than just buying the individual stuff on sale. The X1X plan is actually awful and would be a very bad decision to make seeing as how the X1X is consistently $350-$400 at least every other month, and ALWAYS at $450. Its not like you're dropping $800 at once when you purchase it outside the plan either; Gamepass can be purchased monthly (or wait for the rare bulk sale), and Xbox Live can be purchased once a year, or when its on sale (often).

If you can't afford a ~$500 entertainment device, you shouldn't be buying one. Not here to tell anyone how to spend their money, but also know its nowhere near a good deal and a flat out dumb decision to make to buy the X1X plan.

"Poor people" are better off not financing luxury items at inflated prices with usurious interest rates that kick in if the payment schedule is not met, yes. If you interpret that as "can't," sorry you're dumb.

also you could probably go direct to the source at dell.com and buy it on dell credit if you must when it’s on sale and you’re not forced to buy 2 years of game pass at full price

I just got a xbonx for $400 with 2 games on eBay and they offered me a no interest pay plan too

There is not a lot of single player and multiplayer was completely dead on launch due to terrible sales. Youll be lucky to find a match, let alone an appropriate skill level match at this point leaving you with a 24 dollar package of not much.

Just stop with this absolute nonsense. I think people that are truly poor aren't worried about loving video games, and if they are maybe that's a contributing factor as to why they remain poor. Also, as Tomahawk said, there's better ways (0% interest credit cards)to take advantage of sales AND get the free financing, although still not recommended.

Did you even read the post you quoted? It's a good deal specifically because they're busy and don't have much time to game. How would having access to 40+ great games for a single month be beneficial for someone who can't game endlessly?

If I have time to play through maybe 2 games a month, I could use a year of Gamepass to play 20-25 games a year at the cost of $5 per game.

Diabetes, you are not invited to my pizza party.
I would like my xb1x a lot better if the controller wouldn’t randomly forget it’s connected to the console. It’ll either just stop responding to input or the console will tell me the controller is no longer connected. I have to pop a battery in and out and then it’ll be fine for anywhere between 5-90 minutes. I’ve “updated” the controller but no luck.

Yeah off-and-on is how you do GamePass. Do those $1 months, pay sticker for a month if an exclusive ever comes out on it, turn it off when you're done. It's a good deal when you do it like that.
