I dont think its that contradictory to hold the belief that catcalling constitutes harassment and that the video is evidence of that while also being suspicious that the video was edited to overrepresent minorities. The latter doesnt somehow invalidate the former.

Binge read this thread in two days and besides learning about JBPee and the Loomy lady the thing that spiralled me right back into depression was finding out people in my country still unironically support FvD. I was naively hoping that that was in the process of flopping like a badly baked flan. I'd post the thing about Geert Wilders calling a 'make a Muhammad political cartoon' contest, saying he won't back down, never ever back down and then backing down the day before the contest was scheduled because of threats and not because no actual political cartoonist had any interest in his publicity stunt ofcourse, but I don't know if that constitutes a self-own or is even interesting to the rest of the world. I'll still be reading the thread ofcourse but drat humanity is depressing.

The entire goal of stunts like that is to get enough publicity that some Pakistani on twitter will proclaim it an affront to Islam and say you should be hanged for it, so you can then cancel it and be a victim and get more publicity.
