Good news: I received my first ever ex raid pass today! Bad news: It's at an inconvenient location during week 1 of the NFL season. At least one other family member got one too so I may end up going anyway.

The Magikarp I received via trade is lucky, and is IV 93-96. This will be good for when I finally manage to evolve a Gyarados for this friggin' Mew quest line.

Do the same with the remaining pre-walked Eevees for the next Umbreon step. You'll probably end up walking more than the 20 km total needed if you did the quests as intended, but if you're stuck on the "hatch 9 eggs" step for a while, you can do all this while walking the eggs off. Remember that walking at normal speed earns you ~0.3 km for every tick they update your distance, so walking Eevees up to 4.7 or 9.7 km is good enough.

Swapping out an Eevee at anything less than 10km [two candies earned] is a bad idea. When you swap out your buddy, you lose all your progress for your next candy, so if you swap out at 9.9km, then you just walked 4.9km with your buddy for absolutely no reason.

Silver pinap berry, kind of a combo of a pinap and a razz. Extra candy and makes the pokemon easier to catch.

Also discovered today an Umbreon is NOT an Eevee..even though they earn Eevee candy. I evolved my buddy with 5k to go (had an overlap from the first 'walk 10k') and did my last 5k with evolved Eevee..it did NOT give me credit for my last candy for the quest. Apparently it HAS to be an Eevee to count. So I'm going out for another walk now! :P
