First we have a great Christian Priest in syria talking about what really happened at the daara protests and how there was always a sectarian edge to the FSA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft_m2nCmnyk Next. Saudi Arabia is planning to turn Qatar into a Island. LOL! https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/contents/afp/2018/08/saudi-diplomacy-qatar-island.html Even better, they'll have a nuclear waste facility at the moat. The chunk of desert between Syria and Iraq is already lawless enough, can't wait for the desert to expand along with the collapse of the states already containing the rest of it.

They could milk their sovereign wealth funds for a while, but they couldn't support the welfare states that keep a lid on all the political and religious resentments. I don't think a collapse would be immediate or quite that dramatic, their citizens would just have to get real jobs and most of the foreign laborers would be forced to leave. When a global market crisis causes their wealth funds to tank, that's when you'll really see some poo poo.
