Limited inventory volume and industry slots per structure could actually male since in this era of Upwell Online. Want to use an NPC station for storage? Pay . Don't want to? Find some friends and drop a structure.

Making people pay ongoing fees for storage is a great way to prevent that from ever happening.

So if this is beginning of the end can we look forward to the fabled supercap free-for-all we've always wanted on the day the servers shut down?

It's a good point. Maybe pay to access, or something. Or maybe it's an Omega benefit. I dunno. It's a pitfall idea that would need a lot of details figured out, but boule be a reasonable pay money thing that wouldn't break the entire game. LOL who are we kidding they're going to break the game.

Eh, it remains to be seen if they actually gently caress up Eve. The posting from the CCP community rep indicates that PA is going to keep things fairly hands-off, but actions are louder than words. Regarding supercap throwdowns, we've actually had two fairly recently. We won them both. One was a fairly even trade despite our immense tactical disadvantage, and one was a complete loving dumpstering despite our immense tactical disadvantage.

I honestly don't mind if they add a bunch of stupid garbage to fleece the empire space carebears out of micro transactions. In fact if they are able to encourage more of those types of players it would make the game better. We can fleece them together! But if they start loving with alliance-level mechanics or industry/the market the game will lose a lot of appeal to me.

As for the throwdown I meant every super cap in eve gets together and dukes it out. No docking up, no wussing out, no retreat. See which dies first the server or the supers.

Voyager I posted:The fake banner add got me to check the thread again and now I need to know how hard these jerks got owned. Well I'll go back in history a bit more than you may need, just in case. If I'm repeating poo poo you already know, well, too fuckin' bad. In 2016, one of the major events that led to us getting rolled out of the north was Circle-of-Two's betrayal in the middle of the war. At the time, they were a significant portion of our fleets, and having them convert to the hostile side hurt a lot. Anyways, we lose that war and move to Delve, and they get subsequently rolled out of the north so NCdot and PL could have more renter space. Fast forward to Sept 2017, and we convince CO2's head diplomat, The Judge, to transfer CO2's primary keepstar to us in a high-level betrayal. GigX, the leader of CO2, is displeased about this, and spends hours making repeated and sustained personal threats against The Judge, and probably others, I don't remember. CCP bans his poo poo. CO2 basically dissolves. Earlier this year, CO2 reforms as an NCdot pet. (Ironic because NCdot kicked them out of the north in the first place.) It's led by "The GigX," an obvious re-reg, and it's obviously GigX on comms. Then at some point a week ago, he was banned again. This time, we don't know why. The exact circumstances are a mystery, but the fallout is evident -- CO2 fleet participation has flatlined, ihubs and keepstars are not being meaningfully defended, and our op tempo has increased at a ridiculous pace. The best part is that I was the one who broke it to CO2's line members that their leader got banned again, not their own guys.
