What's the puzzle here and why's it so noteworthy/satisfying/etc? reaching that treasure chest requires you to drop to it from the room above, but the map for that area doesn't have a room above it. solving the puzzle requires paying attention to a bunch of different geographical clues throughout the game to figure out which room (in a totally different zone) actually connects to the cog room.

Hopefully by this point you will pick up on some hints scattered throughout that area that that map has several references to an "infernal fiend", and in general that area is associated with it (you see an image of it in the text background on slabs in the area). Elsewhere (actually back towards the vase chest earlier) there is a hint about "the colossal dragon is bitten on the neck by the infernal fiend". Huh. Also in a different area, there is a mantra spell code for "the neck of the colossal dragon". So where the gently caress is this dragon??? Well going back to the earlier bit about maps with references to animals in their text and slab background images, there is a place called the Takamagahara Shrine that just so happens to have some scattered dragon imagery (it's pretty subtle though)...and weirdly enough one room with a purple edge that always indicates an exit. Cast the mantra code in that room (the "neck of the dragon" as it turns out), opens up an exit, fall into what turns out to be the twins room again, open chest, throw a party. All of that was info slowly gathered on my end every day starting around Labor Day weekend.

Zenimax's marketing must be giddy about this since it's given the game some slight controversy and more attention. No one in the year 2018 is going to be shocked by the satanic imagery, but add in some lines of dialogue that use extremely similar language and phrases to what bigots have been using online and in real life for years and watch that free publicity come rolling in. Articles, twitter, youtube, reddit, my shitposting. Well done.

I bought one of those automatic litter boxes you only need to empty every couple of weeks and gently caress me the cat keeps attacking the metal pooper scooper every time it runs a cycle, I think he's about ready to break the drat thing
