I’m thinking that if the stock gets into the 230s that there will be a snowball effect from the people trying to avoid the margin call. Musk is playing with fire by leveraging with his own stock.

Tesla appears to be looking at lots of Model 3 cancellations, or they are just too disorganized to actually deliver cars. Whatever the cause is they are now offering "here's what he have lots of not what you ordered" events: https://electrek.co/2018/09/09/tesla-model-3-immediate-deliveries-first-come-first-served-basis// This seems bad.

I don’t know who has actually listened to it, but after the first 20 minutes (which was really really bad), the Elon Musk pod with Rogan was fun as hell to listen to. Elon is very autistic and I suspect a little depressed. The way it’s being covered in general is disingenuous IMO.

But it's also true that Teslas stock price is equally stupid.

I know there is a few people have ACB who here. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-10/aurora-cannabis-icc-labs-deal-fuels-marijuana-stock-momentum?srnd=premium-canada They have agreed on a deal with ICC a Vancouver based cannabis company to acquire them. ICC has 70% of the Uruguay weed market which was the first country to legalize marijuana. They also have deals in Colombia for medical marijuana and Mexico.

The stock is so irrational that the news that the chief accountant left after 4 weeks who immediately landed a job, so he must have started planning to leave in the first week of his new job, that bombshell is outweighed by saying they have a new internally promoted automotive chief and they are holding impromptu car sales at pop up dealerships, and also a firm reiterated their $410 price target. It seems like desperation on Tesla’s part and a lot of clutching at straws.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/teslas-stock-stumble-is-a-buying-opportunity-analyst-says-2018-09-10 Someone owns tesla. Edit: this is great. Analysts at Baird, meanwhile, reiterated their equivalent of a buy rating on the stock and named it a “fresh pick,” saying “strong fundamentals should drive shares higher,” with investors underestimating results in the second half of the year.

I agree with the others that there really wasn't anything outrageous about Musk's interview with Joe Rogan. He's an eccentric but interesting guy and if you weren't paying close attention you might have missed that he took a puff of what I presume was some good quality weed/tobacco mixture. The only awkwardness was from Rogan saying all of the "you're the most brilliant person ever" stuff. I still wouldn't buy TSLA but that's because of the business.

Total knee jerk downgrades from the analysts, they are just having a hard time keeping the PT so high. NAND pricing is dropping (as has been expected for a long time) but their cost of production is dropping even faster and their NAND ASPs are stable even because of DRAM bundling.

I don't think this is a terrible viewpoint. Actively rooting for the devaluation of a company isn't exactly great. Equity is meant to reward shareholders, historically that has been through dividend distributions. Shorting really doesn't provide a societal good outside making money on the way down.
