I mean honestly as long as the ~algorithms~ keep the porn games from showing up to people who don't want them, it seems pretty reasonable given Valve's seeming decision to make Steam the only way to play games on PC instead of a curated storefront

I mean you're right that makes them less a walled garden (good) but the "trying to make it so every game only plays on steam" is pretty wild extrapolation. They're pretty fine with gog and uplay and origin and others competing and coexisting.

Huh apparently dingus goes back to the late 1800s and is Dutch in origin, so anime war is even more historically accurate than previously thought. Seems it was typically used for objects rather than people, so I wonder when that transition in usage occurred.
