Speaking of underwhelming replacments, Phillip Coorey is trying to take on the workload from Tingle and he's not coping very well:quote:Just three weeks ago, the government was statistically level with Labor in the polls, led by a popular leader and with wind in its sails courtesy of a rapidly growing economy and recovering budget. Yeah nah, Phil, they've been a basketcase for a long time, but at least you've deigned to notice anyway. He then goes on to characterize future developments with a mixed array of sport metaphors framing the familiar horse-racing that journalists so dearly love to fall back on. With a little help from backgrounding: concerned fellow diner and pal posted:One concerned Liberal said it was okay to keep lurching towards the base so long as the party was happy with a 28 per cent primary vote. He and others, who used to think they belonged in the right wing of the party, no longer know where they stand.

It absolutely rules that every single one of Scomo's cheap heat publicity stunts has gone wrong somehow, and that those stunts are seemingly the only plan he has to differentiate himself from Turnbull.

Also that Turnbull was one of the less unpopular aspects of the Coalition and all Morrison is doing is inviting an unfavourable comparison.

I can see how you'd make that mistake. However, that's poo poo, not somewhere you poo poo. That hay profiteering was a completely foreseeable consequence. I posted about it back when they first said they'd divert environmental flows. Meanwhile the big ticket comedy item de jure is parliament referrring Dutton to the HC. I only hope I can last that long.
