Dont care though, I might never be able to solo a raid or fill the dex but my Beedrill, Breloom and Cloyster will always look fabulous floating above a gym.

Third time I've walked a 'mon to it's final evolution when it was announced it'd have a community day. First was when Magikarp shiny was released, next was the Dratini. Eh, as long as I get that white and gold shiny.

Luckily got a Mr Mime, now called Moskva (thanks pod6isjerks!) in my last batch of regionals, making 3 from 16 (the other two were Farfetch'd). All I need now is Mewtwo and another 5 Dratini

My alt had a bunch of incubators so I've really only walked eggs on that one, and every one so far has been a regional (3/3, Tauros, kanga, farfetchd). It has to just be freak sample size but it's weird.

Just hatched 5 eggs at lunch. 3 alolan meowths, an alolan vulpix, and a farfetch'd, so one in 5 and one of the regionals I needed as I have nothing but my local Mr. mime

They're beefed up everywhere for the 3 hours the event happens*, but you also need to be in a place where Pokémon spawn frequently. So, these events suck for rural players, and even for me, because not much spawns at my house or job normally. *Despite being called Community DAY, they lie. It's a 3 hour event.

So did I get pretty lucky with the regional hatches? Got mime and Kang in my first 12 eggs. I saw some noise on my Google feed about the hatch rates being super low.

It's pretty ridiculous. I've hatched about 25 eggs and more than half were Alolan trash. Also got 4 Tauros, 1 Farfetch'd, and 3 Kangas. The level of Alolan poo poo is pissing me off though.

Second egg batch: 2 Farfetch'd 1 Tauros (  )1 Porygon 1 Meowth 2 Diglett 1 Geodude I already had Farfetch'd but I'm happy to have more for trades. Got 9 more to hatch today! Still need that Mime!

I got my Mr. Mime which definitely dulls the pain of hatching 4 Tauros. I also got 2x Kangas and 1x Farfetch’d which I already had, but trading fodder is always good.

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but has anyone observed any difference with the operation of the gotcha in the last couple days? I feel like the app has stopped tracking my movement when the screen is off. I'll walk for ten minutes and get no gotcha activity, and then turn on my phone screen and suddenly get two or three catch attempts. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination or if something changed with my phone, or if something changed with the app.

Just to add on to what the other guy said, the featured Pokemon will end up having a high chance of spawning in place of what ordinarily spawns, but again, it makes no matter if you're playing around somewhere that typically has low spawns anyway. My town, for instance, typically mobs the downtown park and main street because of how dense the spawn rate is there and there's tons of stops for you to spin so you never run out of balls. But if you feel like playing from home or wherever you are at the time, you can still run into things and maybe get lucky. It's always from 11am-2pm PST. The featured Pokemon also has an increased chance of being shiny during the event.
