Like, I more offended as a critical theorist than anything. Its completely devoid of any meaningful context into which the observation can even be argued to have a valid connection to issues of female representation and the second someone respectfully disagreed with her she said they were complicit in the elimination of female voices in media. This is the laziest and most worthless kind of cultural analysis and doesn't actually contribute to a larger perspective on the issue in any meaningful way. And, as I said, that is under the most generous interpretation of her motives.
