this was about 10-15 years before cafo operations became the norm so it was relatively humane but my 1st grade teacher her family owned a hog farm and we took a field trip to literally see how the sausage was made and boy that smell doesn't leave you

Is Fortnite qualitatively more fun and/or addictive than other games, or did it just sort of hit critical mass among young people? There is a park behind my house that in prev. years had a lot of neighborhood kids in it playing baseball etc. and it just occurred to me that it's been deserted all summer.

There is a park behind my house that in prev. years had a lot of neighborhood kids in it playing baseball etc. and it just occurred to me that it's been deserted all summer. a few things 1) it kinda filled the gap in br genre wrt quality/polish that was absent at the time, and still is to some capacity 2) it has no chat etc so you cant get slurred at 3) the skill floor is extremely low both for the genre and games as such in general, the game is designed to be forgiving 4) the world/art/style design is very colourful and embraces wacky/crazy stuff basically they struck goldmine in a new hot gaming genre, and then executed it very well both as to making product and marketing it, and critical mass was easily reached
