as someone who thought that I hated all IPAs (from back in the days when motherfuckers were basically just having a dick measuring contest about how many hops they could throw in) I consistently like dogfish head 90 minute fresh squeezed

  there was a discussion of guinness in april (holy cow, that was in april?), and it was said that the bottled guinness in america is what is known as "foreign extra". now it seems there is "foreign extra" available in addition to the normal bottled stuff. is it any good?

I like IPAs generally (mostly in the spring and summer) and Stouts (mostly in the fall and winter). I'm basic af w/r/t beer (and everything else).

Sniep posted:i get so excited any time there's a microbrew Lager this seems to be a common trend amongst beer nerds. going bonkers over crazy over the top IPAs, stouts, sours, whatever, then having a sort of crisis and seeking out plain lagers and pilsners. i dunno how far west their distribution goes, but jack's abby only makes lagers, and they're really damned good. their house lager is amazing, they sell 15 packs for like $15-16. if i want beer and im not sure what i really want, i grab some of that. it's just damned solid, ordinary beer. they got a rauchbier out now called "fire in the ham", noticeably smokey but not overdone.
