You see, the best way to Stop the Boats is a massive swarm of autonomous armed dogs. Strafing a few boats will stop the rest and save many lives in the long term.

You can't make an Omelet without breaking a few eggs. Vote Greens.

I expect that a fair percentage of the good burghers of Wentworth wouldn't know a hard days work if it kicked them in the well padded arse.

C-level types spend a lot of time at work, but it's not exactly factory floor or retail levels of physical effort and drudgery.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I worked harder at my first job at Coles than I have at any jobs I've held the past few years, so I wouldn't be surprised CEO problems are "oh woe I had to attend yet another business lunch".

Way easier in comparison to "oh woe my employer expects me to show up early and leave late without being paid".

Fixed that for you. In my experience, they spend a lot more time on self funded vacation, on junkets, in corporate boxes and delegating any real work to associate directors and various other senior managers and deputies than actually doing work. The work they do is mostly being bored in meetings. They don't write anything, that's all delegated. They sign things and then gently caress off on their next holiday.

Also, a west coast v. Collingwood grand final is like a by-election where only Family First and One Nation are running candidates.

Tiny houses as an alternative to retirement homes, except this 82 year-old lives in a house that requires climbing stairs to get into bed so you still need to be pretty independent for it to work. It also seems to rely on family being nearby or some other help source, so I'm not sure how they differ from the classical granny flat. I swear tiny houses pop up as a solution to some problem or other every so often then get forgotten because they don't really solve the actual problem. Also shires treat them like caravans, since permanent house on wheels vs caravan is a pretty unclear distinction, if there is meaningfully one.

I also wonder if people are forgetting retirement communities, my 85 y/o grandpa lives in a community and he loves it, he has people to socialise with and the whole place is designed with people his age in mind. I'm not sure how much he paid to get in though, he did sell his house but he'd been wanting to do that for ages since he was knocking around alone in a family-sized home with fall-unfriendly marble floors, but they seem to offer a viable intermediate to retirement homes.

I'd make that number lower. Over 100 employees and you have to reveal the gap.

I'm still extremely angry about my previous job who paid a man with fewer qualifications more money for the same job. Their response when I brought it up with them was "work harder" so I'd get promoted.

A few months after I left, the company got sold and the CEO got a bonus of 6 million dollars.
