I don’t think they’re supposed to transform back, it’s just that the Dittos saw a real Meltan and have been mimicking it. The new quest will be to track down a real legit Meltan that doesn’t turn into a Ditto. Which Dog is the current field research? I remember seeing a thing about it being Suicine soon but don't know if it's flipped yet. And tomorrow is when I get my last stamp. I need 5 more Johto 'mons to get to gold for Celebi and I can get four by evolving stuff now but would like to hold off until I can finish the badge so I can pop a lucky egg and do all the quests and get Celebi all at once.

They said Let's Go would only contain Kanto mons, but now they had to quickly code up an additional mon in the shape of Niantic's glitched placeholder and come up with a story around it and screenshots of it and a video translated into various languages, all within a few days. drat Niantic, can't do anything right

I don't know why people think their freshly-caught Dittos are going to change into anything else. This was a great little marketing stunt. Nobody saw this coming.

Between the mediocre textures, the lovely Sprite scaling, the resemblance to parts of Kecleon and the model issues, I don't feel stupid at all for thinking it was a bug. Niantic hasn't exactly set a high standard for not loving things up. Still, interesting that it's something wholly new.

There have been a couple of cold days here and immediately you can see a huge drop in player activity. Gyms get flipped a lot less often.

Ahahah just figured out you could slip in a lucky egg before the "Ultra Friends" message pops up and get the double XP bonus. Will be super useful for when the best friends marks start hitting.

It doesn't count as long as you're in a menu either so if you notice it completed a heart you can double it even if you need to take time to buy one. I'm trying to stack a few locals that are all within 5 days of each other
