Did Blizzard ever announce that they would no longer add Specialists or something? I've been playing a lot of Xul and Ragnaros recently and if anything, Xul is the better in team fights due to his crazy E whereas when I play Ragnaros, I have never not finished top of XP/Siege. Ragnaros' Trait and one of his Ults screams of a Specialist too.

I am particularly glad that they are apparently considering reworking Tass into an assassin. I wish this role redesign stuff they brought up months ago would just happen already.

I played 3 QM as Tass for a quest recently and was lucky enough to get another Support in two of them, allowing me to go full DPS build. He has his detractors but in that situation he is really enjoyable and for those games anyway, effective.

A harass-y one, but I murder so many people by tricking them into following me into a dark alley where my team is waiting to mug them to death.

I might be misremembering, but I believe they're planning on adding some new categories as well. Hopefully they just make "Bruiser" official and lump those Warriors and Assasins together, then the remaining Assassins and the Specialists can be sorted into groups based on PVP or PVE.

i think they suggested a more standardized 'support' role, separate from a healer role. They pitched the Vikings as part of this role, given they primarily help through XP soak. Medivh would still be part of this role. I don't know who else. Zarya? Tyrande and Tassadar were part of this, but eh. Murky, ironically, might be best classified as a bruiser. He can get deceptively tanky and put out some decent damage. It would be a weird trap to put a super squishy with no HP in that role though. Maybe Stealth with more of a focus on just being deception? Yeah, I don't know. I'm assuming the roles in the ultimate role rework would be, maybe not with these names, but: Tank - Muradin, Arthas, Johanna Bruiser - Leoric, Mathael, Ragnaros Melee Attacker - Thrall, Xul, Alarak Ranged Attacker - Valla, Raynor, Hammer Stealth - Nova, Zeratul, Samuro Mage - Nazeebo, Kael'thas, Azmodan Healer - Malfurion, Deckard, Kharazim Support - Zarya, Medivh, Vikings More of examples and guesses.

Also the third comic is out. I still haven't figured out if the queen married a dude who was cursed to be a giant dragon and also a statue, or if she married a dragon who is cursed to be a statue.

The last thing this game needs is another role that suggests players not work with their team and just do their own thing. I'm OK with Murky getting put in any of support, melee dps, or bruiser. Some things Blizz has said makes me think they're OK with how the fishman plays right now, so I don't think there's a rework for him anytime soon - especially not with so many heroes that actually do need attention.

They've acknowledged the problems though and are working on something better, including maybe eliminating the league system in place now and going with raw MMR. No timeline though.

The free hero rotation is really useful. I always thought of Garrosh as being an OP hero, and while he probably is, I played him to level 5 and really didn't like him at all and only enjoyed him in games where there was another tank so I could go a more DPS build. I think my thing is, no matter what role I am playing I really hate not being able to clear waves quickly. Leoric, Blaze, Dehaka and Johanna are probably my favourite warriors because of this. On the other hand, I would never have thought of playing Zul'jin but after my first game I really like him. The other one I need to try this week is Malthael who I would predict I suck at.

just skip malthael. Imo the least fun hero in the game right now and not good enough to make playing him worth it unless you really like him.

I consider Malth to be pretty good right now. He does well on maps with a single objective point (Cursed & Hanamura) and against the popular brusier solo laners. On Hotslog there's a pretty big split between his QM performance and his draft performance which indicates he benefits a lot from knowing enemy team compositions.

What build are people using on her? I keep taking the ravage talent at 4 but have yet to complete it. Mostly because my games keep being ones where my team gets stomped.

Garrosh is really good mostly cause his throw is absolutely ridiculous, but he has basically NO escape from CC aside from throwing an enemy away and as you say, he has terrible waveclear. Characters like Jaina can be scary when I play him. He's still probably my favorite tank to play though, aside from liking Garrosh as a character. His playstyle clicks the most out of any of the tanks for me. It took some getting used to them taking away his pull though
