This event's really suckin it up pretty bad, the character reworks are bonkers, the Garden of Terror remake is real bad, the quests ping pong between "Well that was pretty easy" and stuff like the watchtowers on top of most of them only counting on wins, the wording on the quest rewards being [New Skin Names] and it actually being sprays still feels deceptive and disappointing even if you already knew better, just drat man.

I just got out of a 25 minute game only to find out that the recon camps on hanamura don't count as watchtowers... How many maps in the current rota actually *have* watchtowers?

They apparently added Cursed Hollow and I forget, I think one other back into QM for the time being because of that quest in yesterday's extra patch, same time as they fixed the healing quest never progressing

I've only done a couple games, but so far, the Greater Polymorph resets at level 1 are a really good time and Q is much easier to hit. I really like the Emerald Wind changes at 20, but they do burn through your mana like crazy. Not sure if I like the Hypershift (Z cooldown) talent; as long as you're laning it works really nicely, but if you're a lot spending time at an objective you don't get a lot of benefit.

It’s been a while since I played the game but I do like playing supports or tanks. How does whitemane compare to auriel? Both need to do damage for sustained healing but I guess white mane is more burst and auriel has more range and a knock back. Any more insights?

You can't store up healing like Auriel can, and her marks only heal for the damage you personally do to enemy heroes. That said she can actually just, ya know, heal, if you take the near-mandatory level one talent for it. Which isn't a thing Auriel can do. Desperate, Desperate, Clemency is actually mana positive and a great way to top off someone in another lane before returning to where your tank is. Auriel's great if you have a battery though.

Raynor's still hilarious. Game still owns. When I do 'adept' bot games, my lvl 1 quest has like 100+ tics on it and I close out with like 30-40 kills.

Best build on Whitemane is Piano Whitemane. Clemency, Fanatical Power, and then her anti-armor on 20 give her a delicious amount of burst, and with it, an enormous amount of healing potential. Bots don’t seem to re-take them on Cursed Hollow unless they are ahead. You almost wish they brought Mines back for a bit, because that map at least has two watchtowers that are frequently in play. What are people's thoughts on Probius? I reckon he's the least played hero and I don't even think I can remember playing against him. I like Specialists so would be tempted to pick him up, but there is so little discussion on him.

Been playing some more New Kerrigan. Man, she is completely insane. I think a big part of it is in wood league or wherever I play people don’t know how to juke her combo, so you’ll fight someone as as soon as they start losing they’ll run, in which instance you hit them for 1.5k damage or whatever

I randomed into him on a brawl, which started a 2-week long love affair that really only ended because they released a new hero that distracted me. Burst is still very much king, and Probius has it. He's top tier zoning, and if a map has one objective to fight over, you can think of Protect the Hammer comp strategies. Move slowly forward, making sure frontline always fights within Probius's range, and enemy melees are neutered. He's weak to enemy mobility, which uh is a problem these days. He needs opponents to move at constant rates so his warp rifts can't be skipped, and he relies heavily on kiting so gap closers can kill him good. After the temporary obsession was over, I found myself going back to Kael whenever Probius would be good. Fits most of the bill, but also has hard CC, which feels so good to land on routed enemies or on diving assassins.

Probius is the ultimate smurf hero. He is incredibly powerful against 98% of the derps out there, but you also have to be incredibly good to make him work - top tier map sense, fight positioning, etc... Meet those conditions and he is scary, with great burst, infinite mana, and lots of slows.

"Cancer" being a big bad one's pretty new to me, it's not like it's something you can point to as being derived from continued gross judgement like calling things "AIDS", where there's a lot of inherent lean in a very ugly way to using that as an insult, calling something cancerous isn't hearkening back to a judgement of or equating things on people with cancer, it's just a (Often farcical) critical way to say "This is systematic and horrible", easily comparable with things such as the american right wing being very much a cancer on the lives of marginalized people, deep-seated and painfully destructive as it is. I asked the question about best map earlier, and I think my favourite is probably Sky Temple. Or Cursed Hollow. But I don't mind any of them, I even wish I could get a go on Haunted Mines - I've played probably 100 matches since I came back 3 weeks ago and haven't seen it, Braxis or the one with the Angel/Demon fighting in the middle once.
