Old Town Road to EGOT

gently caress MoviePass. Fortunately it doesn't look like they've charged me again. But I did subscribe to AMC's Stubs A-List thing the other day and saw Assassination Nation and Fahrenheit 11/9 with it yesterday. What a painless process. That thing seems like a pretty good deal, considering 9 out of 10 times I go to the movies, it's at an AMC. And being able to reserve tickets online rules. Plus it works for IMAX and Dolby showings!

I believe the liquor store robber is actually saying "gently caress me" because he realizes he's totally out of his element. As an ADR, it's an acceptable replacement.

I want to say they had just had him talking about “ladies.” On topic, here’s a pretty fun site that lays out tv edit changes for various movies:

Rogers had significant clout at that time and if he'd backed the guy I don't think he would've been fired. Really it was that Rogers didn't want the show to get negative press because he thought it was an extremely important show that needed to be on the air for children. So he put the show above everything else.

The documentary doesn't demonize him for it, but it does discuss that subject at least, and interviews the actor who played the cop. The guy doesn't blame Rogers and still loves him to this day, but that doesn't change the facts.
Yeah and from what I've read later on Rogers did join some groups within his denomination that was to welcome LGBT people. That and he wouldn't renounce gay people which is one of the reasons evangelics loving hated him.

But yeah from what that actor said it took him a while to accept LGBT people.

What's your favourite PG-13 edit?

I have a lot of affection for "Yippee-ki-yay, Mister Falcon!" from Die Hard 2 just because they went to the trouble of adding a line in ADR where a bad guy is addressed as "Mr Falcon".

Two of my favorites haven't been mentioned yet:

In the Bravo edit of Crash after a cop tells Terrence Howard to kneel down, instead of "Why don't you kneel down and suck my motherfucking dick" he says "Why don't you kneel down and suck my motherhumping rump"

Kill Bill: Volume 1 has the troika of:
"My name is Buck, and I like to party."
"Your name is Buck, right? And you like to party, don't you?"
followed up by the keychain/van logo of THE PARTYWAGON

You couldn't have werewolves either. In fact, an early story written by Marv Wolfman was once nearly blocked from publication because they weren't allowed to use the word "Wolfman".
