It’s called “hammerscale”, and yes, it’s oxidised iron.

Back in China again, this time we get to see it put back into the furnace a few times because the process took long enough it needed more heat. Interesting to compare the ratio of people / specialized machines in both videos.

Not sure if it's in that presentation or one of the other dozen of his that I've watched. He started selling them once he figured out what it was. https://redteamtools.com/quick-entry

It most certainly is in that presentation. He even goes into the story of how he found out about it.

Also curiously, one of the clips of his team demonstrating something is VERY similar in the location design to something bosnianbill (LockLab - and notorious for not showing his face) filmed.

The problem is that who controls the hammer isn't the one who will be split in half when the hammer glances off and makes the holding bars do a 180°

I saw this video once titles something like “why the west can’t compete with China on production pricing”. It showed a multistage stamping tool in an American factory that was circular shaped and as each piece was stamped a robotic arm picked it up and moved it to the next station. It then showed a similar machine in China and a guy was sitting in the centre of the machine and as the press lifted he’d scramble around moving all the pieces to the next spot as the press was coming back down.

It had a clip at the end where someone from the factory was speaking and the translation was something like “we’re not concerned about downtime due to injury because there are many more workers like him who want that job”.

Watch the youtube video, he didn't just spill some gas, it was intentional spraying. But that still doesn't explain why the outcome came as a surprise to him.

Give the guy a break. He clearly couldn't afford to attend Arsonist Vocational College, so he's just bootstrapping himself and self-teaching himself the artisanal craft of arsonistry.

Geez, I bet you privileged hipsters think it's so much better to go to an accredited fire-starting school and get a useless degree you'll be paying off for years. Good luck starting any fires when you're working the register at Starbucks.

Good AV/post combo, if I was in arsonist college I'd demand a desert dweller professor. Can't trust dudes with skin to tell me about fire unsafety.
