Just read an article about a space sim Everspace coming to the switch soon, anyone played it on other platforms? People say it's a cross between freelancer and FTL which sounds pretty great to me. And I think someone linked some videos itt of another switch space aim coming out early next year but I can't remember what it was called, any ideas?

You get money for doing stuff each run and when you die you use the money to buy permanent upgrades between several ships. It’s a fun roguelite space shooter but takes several runs and several upgrades before it clicks.

Dead Cells has the worst wall climb ever. It fucks me over more than anything in the game and the whole “climb for a little bit and stop” approach is just baffling. It’s such a dumb approach to the concept of wall climbing.

I must mrgrgr from the depths of my soul at Labyrinth of Refrain. I'll gush about its goodness later but due to I think an oversight I had to farm for a good chunk of the weekend to get the stuff that let me work toward the good ending. I was shy one item, but I wanted to see the bad ending first because the plot, surprisingly, had become compelling. All game it's been giving me various we're-kicking-you-back-to-the-title-but-we-recommend-saving-to-a-different-file warnings. To the point where I had six different save files for really no reason; there's nothing different one could've done leading up to them. I finally gave up on scrolling through the save files on Friday and have just been overwriting the top one. Turns out the one time that warning actually has teeth is with the bad ending. Now I've either gotta redo all the weekend's work or just play through NewGame+ and skip all of the plot beats because they cried wolf seven or eight times and at the end one big-rear end wolf shows up. I'll post good things about the game when I'm done with it, but I was ready to wrap it up and after this curveball to the crotch I've gotta decide if I'm done with the game prematurely.

How close are the Switch NES games to the originals in terms of flickering objects and slowdowns? I know speedrunners and the like love their artisanal glitches but I prefer emulation that gets rid of that crap.

My Switch killed itself. One of the error codes where the Nintendo website says try hard reset and if that doesn't work you're SOL. It was in warranty though so they're taking it for three weeks and sending me a new one/the same one fixed. Anyone else had issues?

As a dude in my late 30s who has played video games his entire life but never got into "gaming culture" this whole Bowsette thing has me completely perlexed. Why are people losing their poo poo over it? Are they actually jerking off to it or is it some stupid meta joke? Also, how wasn't it already a thing? From what I've seen there's weird fan made porn of everything. How could a female Bowser not already exist? SERIOUS ANSWERS FOR A SERIOUS QUESTION

I hadn't enabled them yet. otoh it's just Disgaea, is the only one that hurts. Lego City and Odyssey were great the first time so they'll probably be good the second. Disgaea is the husband's though and he was into the end game and all that. Once I get it back we'll do cloud stuff going forward. I was mostly curious if anybody else had consoles turning into bricks or if I just got lucky.

Presumably 'bowser-after-being-transformed-into-a-woman' is sexier than a woman who is wearing a bowser costume/looks like a bowser because of the transformative psychological implications and higher emotional stakes with regard to inter-character relations. ie it's dirtier this way e: askin again tho, does anyone here have Fast RMX? Bowser has a pretty wild personality and is a pretty comedic character and a lot of people love him because of how goofy he can be. When that's transferred over to a version of Peach a lot of people just liked it due to Peach herself being as interesting as a cardboard slab. Nintendo refused to give her a personality for so long that when something showed up people obviously decided to like it more. From there it's just something that took off. It's a loud bombastic princess and that's fine. People then started throwing crowns on everything because they can and it's the internet. Usually it's just a excuse to design cute princess/or funny designs and nothing else. Seeing as nothing was canon it just let artists go wild with their imagination on how things would look. Lots of jokes caught on, some other fan designs got popular (Boo in particular) and that's where it ends. There is of course porn of characters or designs meant to be lewd but you're on the internet so uh, if you're surprised by that I got nothing for you there. SA had a pretty negative reaction that if I'm being honest came off as virtue signaling more than anything, and now that it's popular a handful of posters are kind of stuck just going "H-haha it's the horny" because the design that got popular has a dress that shows off her cleavage. In Japan and some corners people can point to her being a trans icon because it's a male turning into a women. If you're not into that and you think it's pure magic and shouldn't be treated like that then hey nothing is stopping that either because she's not canon. There's people who are still bitter about Odyssey's ending so people want Mario, the character, to have a happy ending so that's another popular angle I've seen crop up time to time. Like there's so much baggage and so many different angles to why she got popular it's impossible to pinpoint it honestly. It just struck the right chords so it's just around now.
