Skeletons, necromancers, evil jars of black death, and the return of Bashful Ray. -NPC Red Phantom blocked by path, but my two-handed spear staggered them and made the fight a joke.  -Encountered ANOTHER NPC Red Phantom guarding a fog door, and got absolutely decimated.  Bashful Ray saved the day.-Past that fog gate? Majora's Mask boss fight. -Bashful Ray continued to be wonderful with his lil Wolverine claws. Bashful Ray, I love you. -Explored in another direction, found another fog door. -SO MANY GODDAMN SKELETONS HOLY poo poo TOO MANY SKELETONS HELP BASHFUL RAY WHY HAVE YOU ABANDONED ME -Explored beyond to find poison lands. Blighttown 2.0? Also a girl that sells upgrade materials so yay. -Traveled back to Lost Bastille to explore the less-poisony Belfry Luna. -A tiny crazy man asked me to join his group of bell defenders. I hope to defend many bells. -Fought some more tiny crazy people. Reunited with an amazing NPC shade that I love very, very much. -Through another fog door and OH MY GOD HOW MANY GARGOYLES ARE THERE THIS IS TOO MANY. Glencour, my favorite phantom buddy, helped me slaughter them all. -NOW THERE ARE DOGS THERE ARE ALL THE DOGS AND A RED PHANTOM OH MY GOD HELP. Another stream down. Thanks for watching! -Prepared myself with as much poison resistance as I could get to go into the poison valley. -Poison pits, poison gas, poison pots. Everything is poison! Managed to handle it pretty good though. -Giants throwing dark orbs at me, sorceresses throwing exploding fireballs at me, chunky zombies wielding hammers and scythes, crawling zombies, skeletons, and ninjas. Yeesh. -A group of crystal lizards! Lots of upgrade materials to play with now hooray. -I believe I've fully explored the poison valley, and have ventured beyond to... the poison building. -Died multiple times trying to leap to a platform. Must experiment further. -Fog door, most likely with a boss behind it. Decided to stop there and return to the first area in the game. -Explored a bit more thoroughly to find some stuff I missed my first time through, then went to a new area I couldn't access before. -Pursuer is appropriately named. So maybe it isn't exactly a Halloween game, but I certainly had a hell of a time getting it to run, play nice with controls and not to mention actually get streaming properly! This "classic" of the early 3D action genre takes inspiration from the then successful Tomb Raider games and a slew of classic point and click adventure titles. Developed in house at Lucas Arts, they used a heavily modified version of the Sith Engine (Jedi Knight) to create an adventure game. Now, this game has it's issues. Where Jedi Knight was fast and fluid, Infernal Machine is stodgy and clumsy. It's nit-picky about picking up objects and using ladders. You'l throw yourself off a cliff more than a few times. You have no control of the camera, and it does not always play nice. This game has a cheat that gets you unstuck from walls, which I've had to use several time. There was an N64 version that has aged horribly, even in comparison to this. Oh and the map doesn't/may never have worked. So why am I playing this nightmare of late 90s 3d design? What you get, once you figure out what you're doing, is a master craft of level design. Tomb Raider ain't got nothing on some of these levels, nothing in the modern age comes close. The whole level is the puzzle, as opposed to just being a tiny bit of a level. I'm about 3 levels in, just past the prologue, but if it matters I've been sent after parts of a machine that was located in the Tower of Babel. The first is in Shambala in the Tian Shan Mountain range, where we join our hero completely confused and lost about what to do next. https://www.twitch.tv/sonofbort
