i tried out the netflix app when i first got windows 8 and all i remember is that the app would restart if you moved it from windowed mode to docked (setting it to take up the right half of the screen)

i am told that we use flash for the live stuff on danish public state tv but the archive is html5 (just checked, just a bunch of .ts files in the web inspector)

The last time I used it like a year ago Sky still required Silverlight, I assume they wrote some poo poo DRM back in the day and nobody wants to replace it. Maybe it will improve now they've been bought out by Comcahahahahaaa...

did I miss the massive livethread for the surface press conference today? the new surface pro 6, surface laptop 2 and surface studio 2 are all sightly faster than previous models and they come in black! [still no usb-c, I guess that technology isn't mature yet] also they announced noise canceling headphones with cortana integration because I guess they ran out of OEMs willing to make guaranteed money-losing hardware for them. good thing that's not a super mature market with hundreds of competitors
