going from sylvan otk to masked heroes otk to fur hire otk is a goddamn three-car-pile-up of tier zero metas. they need to update their banlist real quick - Cyber Dragons (and Cyberdarks but who cares) came out today and I doubt they'll even make a blip as long as the Furry Menace is around.

As far as just learning the game mechanics and getting familiar with the game? Zombies and/or Skull Servant would be a good pick I feel. Right now the strongest decks are Gouki U-link spam, Trickstar-Sky Striker, Altergeist, and pure Sky-Striker. The first is all about making impossible to break boards to kill your opponent, the second is a burn-control deck with otk potential, the thing is a control deck that relies on trap cards, and the fourth is control focused on resource management and out gaining card advantage over your opponent.

And with Iyvanne, Isolde, Medraut, Heritage, Brothers, and Custennin, is very easy to get Borz in the field on turn 1, setting the trap for your opponent's first turn and your second turn respectively. Personally, I think the best cards of this new wave are Heritage and Once Again, then Morgan and lastly, Iyvanne.

yo can i talk for a second about this incredibly dumb duel links deck Level Augmentation lets you target a monster you control and a monster in your hand, then add the levels of the monster in your hand to the monster you control. So, Yubel deck with tech The Calculator is absolutely hilarious when I blow up their backrow with Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys and drop a disgusting 6k+ The Calculator on the field.

I'm playing Duel Links again for some reason. Kaiba's complete lack of chill is still amazing. Not new or creative, but consistent, and I get to hear Seto freak the gently caress out every time I attack with BEWD or activate EC. Considering whether to try to cram in another Vanguard somewhere, and/or replace BE Solid with another Dragon Spirit (or WattailDragon/Rabidragon, to keep Heavy Starter?  )Edit: Hahaha, holy poo poo, I just got Wall of Disruption from my first SoK pack. The way top-tier Blue-Eyes is run right now is to use Arkana w/ A Trick up the Sleeve to open with Cosmo Brain in your hand every duel, then run as many BEWD/Spirit as possible with one or two Bingo Machines to ensure you can summon it. Then run some normal-summon-able effect monsters like Psychic Ace or White Stone of Legend or whatever to tribute for Cosmo Brain's effect to get two huge beaters on the field right away. Silver's Cry, Birthright, Swing of Memories and Silent Doom can let you play with the BEWD you dumped to summon Cosmo Brain. If you're determined to play as Kaiba, use Beatdown and run more copies of Cosmo Brain.

It's potentially pretty good. Silent Sword Slash can be devastating if timed right. It's solidly rogue though, and I wouldn't worry about seeing it more than, like, Silent Magician or Masked Heroes.

Double posting to say that there are few things I've done in Duel Links more satisfying than letting Fur Hire players fill up their field and deck themselves out because they can't get over a Cosmo Brain. jesus, people are really sleeping on Labyrinth Builder right now. this skill is incredible. it unbricks hands in U.A, it lets you synchro spam out Stardust Dragons and Power Tool Dragons super fast, it's just wonderful. for people who were sad about the Cyber Style nerf, this is what you need

Next Duel Links big box got leaked. Hype for the return of my least favorite archetype of the Synchro era. The only solace in being beaten by Blackwing will be that the dumb bastard spent hundreds of dollars on pretend cardboard. Edit: I'm gonna end up building a Reptilliane antimeta deck just because of how much I hate those birds. That box looks awful. There's nothing in there that could compete with the current meta, which for a main box is an unforgivable crime. Blackwings are pathetic without any of the good synchros, no icarus attack, no kalut, no blizzard except through Crow's skill... Blackwings will not be meta. Dragunities are alright but with only two notable generic lv8 synchros and a 5 card extra deck and no ravine it's not going to do anything yet. So yeah, I guess uh, Power Wall is in the set as a N so you could do some shenanigans with that. Bujingi Crane is nice, too. A bunch of trashy Gladiator Beasts... Yeah no save your gems. Build Vampires if you haven't yet, they'll be T1 until the next banlist.

Double-posting to say that duellinksmeta just downgraded Vampires to Tier 2 with Blue Eyes and Spellbooks, leaving Mask Change as the only T1. Can someone simplify in idiot terms for me why that is?

Finally got my Galaxy Blue Eyes deck working properly with Trick Up The Sleeve. Now I'm being a dumbshit in trying to come up with dumb techs. My favorite so far is 1x Exploder Dragon and 1x Debunk. Exploder Dragon as a man-eater bug that can also suicide (or just be sacced by GB for a BEWD), and Debunk for hand traps and also Vampires and also Platelet Canada. "I had a really cool theory about Kuriboh, actually." "Oh yeah?" "Yeah, but it was..."  "Debunked."
