A bunch of fellow Brits and I are looking at going to Sebring next year. Does anybody have tips for accommodation at the circuit? Are we best off renting an RV or something, or trying to buy a tent once we get there? I have been the Sebring before, but stayed down towards Lake Placid. I'd rather stay on circuit this time so I can get my drink on.

RV is loving expensive, and you'll need to rent NOW (and they're probably already all rented, to be honest) but has the side effect of probably coming with everything you need. Tent camping means you'll also need to buy poo poo like a grill, coolers, etc that can be provided for you with an RV. Either way, unless you're going to rent one and stay in the expensive RV exclusive lots, expect lots of noise and debauchery. Great people but it is a party for 4 days. holy poo poo I enjoy GT Masters immensly and the championship drama yesterday was amazing. Watching Dries go into the Mann garage and try to explain that his pedal went long was really awkward to watch and I felt he was sincere in explaining what had happened. I guess the ADAC didnt feel that was the case though, and that is one hell of an interesting outcome

I can't piece it together at the moment perfectly, but IIRC there was something-something with Vettel when he was an ambassador or whatever for some juniors, and did some poo poo on track, and they forced him to attend some junior races and explain himself, else he looses his position. IIRC, a year after that, Hulkenberg took that position. e: this was not mandated by FIA, but IIRC by ADAC, who he was an ambassador for. Am I making things up? Dreaming? I don't know....

Bathurst this weekend. Some blessed soul out there is streaming the Fox Sports Bathurst Channel, if you want to plug this into VLC (open network stream). There's 24 hour programming with practice/qualifying sessions in the afternoon and evening U.S. time. http://motorsport-eu.cf:8080/

I swear as a kid it used to start earlier in the day and take far longer to finish. I still prefer the 12 hr race but that’s not on till the start of next year so I’ll have to keep an eye on tickets

Whincup fastest in qualifying, I guess top ten shootout still to go but that's disappointing. Hopefully he manages to screw up yet another Bathurst 1000 or we could be in for a runaway win with him and Dumbrell
