All of the ads I saw made it look like a straight up horror movie. When in reality, it was more of a buddy/con job movie. My opinion is that - based on all these YouTube video recommendations I can't seem to stop getting - is that just being a fan of something doesn't entitle you to some vague sort of "respect" from its creator(s). "X disrespects the fans" seems like the most arbitrary, nothing criticism. Fair enough if you don't like a movie or a tv show or a book or a game but griping about how you haven't been respected enough is tedious because all it ever suggests to me is "It didn't do what I wanted it to do!"
