get that OUT of my face posted:time was, a movie like that would have been widely panned for being hamfisted. but today, that movie gets 97% on rotten tomatoes because critics review things based on politics instead of artistic merit no, you've got that wrong. films with reactionary politics are fine so long as they come off looking well-produced. aesthetics trump all else

Being a furry is an ultimately superficial characteristic. I'm much more willing to indulge dressing up in an animal costume than I am a great many other behaviours which are currently prevelant. Like, imagine if cops in the states wanted to dress up as their spirit animal instead of wanting to dress in white robes while they kill minorities. They dress up in a uninform instead. It's more rational to trust the dude whose costume isn't associated with repressive violence.
