I doubt Polpo would’ve disposed of Luka if he was a stand user. Well, I assume the order was from Polpo, It could’ve been from the top boss.

Wait what about that part where Bruno says Polpo's tests are different depending on how he feels? I know most likely that was just "I plead the fifth" stuff but maybe they needed some aggro mook at the time to play loan shark duty and Polpo just asked Luca what 2 + 2 is.

Cause you know Luka was brain dead from having half of his skull being caved in and was going to just uselessly take up space in a hospital. While I'm an anime-first JoJo experiencer, so I haven't seen the relevant manga chapter, I definitely feel like this episode in particular was enhanced by the addition of sound, colour, and motion. The whole episode had a fairytale vibe, with the meeting with Polpo in particular feeling like Giorno was petitioning some strange and terrible ogre for passage into fairyland.

It's still pretty wacky and the abruptness of the bed and fingers were maybe a little better presented in manga form but the hallway being black and green as gently caress was an anime addition and was very nice.

Did you guys know Batta did an English version of Chase as a bonus track on their new album? I don’t have a youtube link or anything but the album’s on Spotify, at least in Japan. Just like Fighting Gold in English, I think I had an easier time understanding the song in Japanese, but its still a cool novelty, I think!

man with how wild and random some stands are it feels like a needless risk. you dont wanna poke someone with an arrow and it turns out their stand is a mobile telephone that is always broadcasting the user's conversations into the sky in the form of a banner held by an unidentifiable flying object (stand name: jefferson airplane)

So Polpo's stand Black Sabbath allows him to do this lighter thing, trick people into eating his own fingers and/or contort into a bed. How much of Polpo is stand powers and the other natural talent? Also head canon says Polpo is Shigechi's estranged father similar to Dio/Giorno's relationship

Geil's dome that protects him from water is never explained, I don't think Polpo eating his fingers ever comes up again.
