He was 17. Not saying it’s not bad but drat there are plenty of lovely living adults for pitchfork to talk about and I don’t understand the obsession with with pissing on the grave of a mentally disturbed dude who died before he could get better

I don’t even really like his music either as a disclaimer

I liked one song from XXX but everything about him screams lovely person, and not one that can get better without a lot of help that you have to want. Could be the fault of his parenting and poo poo but the dude was hosed up

What does this even mean? Is pitchfork not supposed to report on the fact that X admitted to the poo poo he has been accused of? Especially when his fanbase basically hand-waved away everything he did as "unsubstantiated" or "lies". Apparently "telling the truth" about an artist's crimes is now pissing on his grave? Come on.

Yeah I don’t think it would so bad if they laid off of it especially since they were calling for his boycott etc. If you don’t want a guy to be famous stop writing about him maybe.

It just puts a bad taste in my mouth because he died so young I guess.

A kid being killed at 17 is terrible, but it doesn't magically absolve them of their very horrible crimes. You are basically saying if someone dies a tragic death, nothing bad should ever be said about them.
