gently caress Rae Carruth. It's time to bust out a few quotes and pics from Fear of a Black Cat for today's bullshit in case you forgot how awful Rae Rae was. If you have archives, you can see how much I really hate this dude here.

https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3692460#post441696223

quote:

Like the time Michelle called him in March 1998. She’d been unsuccessful in persuading Rae to come back home to visit their son. Rae had another idea. He suggest the two of them fly east to Charlotte. “Fine,” she said. “I’ll rent a car and see the sights while you play with your son.”

“Don’t be surprised if you get in a fatal car accident,” Rae answered, according to Michelle. He spoke very quietly, nearly in a whisper.

“What did you say?” asked Michelle.

“It was a joke,” Rae said.

“It’s not funny.”

“That’s why it didn’t work out. You never know when I’m joking.”

https://www.thestacks.deadspin.com/rea-carruth-the-women-who-loved-him-and-the-one-he-wa-747347792

and also from the same article

quote:

Back in Charlotte one day, Rae got off the phone, turned to Amber [another one of the women he was involved with], and said, as she recalls it, “Would it be messed up if I had somebody, you know, kill Michelle and my son? Or just my son, so that I wouldn’t have to pay her any money? Or if she just got in like, a car accident, or something happened to her, I could have my son and then I wouldn’t have to pay her money?”

He said it joking, Amber had heard him talking about the same thing to a friend. “Yeah,” she said, “It’d be messed up, Rae.”

So some months later, when Amber called from Boulder to say she was pregnant after her five day visit and Rae insisted she get an abortion, [Rae] insisted he was not going to have any more kids by women he had no intention of being with; how could Amber be surprised when he said what he said to her?

“Don’t make me send someone out there to kill you,” Amber remembers him saying. “You know I would.”

This one didn’t sound funny at all. She had the abortion.

From the hitman

https://www.abcnews.go.com/sports/story?id=100048

quote:

“I fired one shot, then four more shots: bam, bam, bam, bam,” Watkins said in a monotone. “She was screaming. She was drowning in her own blood. You could hear a gurgling sound.

“He hired me as a hit man,” [Watkins] testified Wednesday. “He hired me to kill Cherica Adams and the baby.

I couldn’t bring myself to kill the baby. I shot at the top [of the car], not through the door.”

Here is the 911 call of Cherica calling in to get help. Yes, it’s heartbreaking and as bad as you imagine it is. :nms:

I was never quite as big on him as others, but he's still good, pretty much just like last year. Occasionally he gets way too fixated on some little thing and he often sounds like he's extremely high or, as one poster put it yesterday, he sounds like he's constantly edging

He's mostly calmed down but still the same psychic. Lost his loving mind calling Mahomes though. Dude sounded orgasmic.

I think that's the ultimate course that's going to happen. He is probably the second coming of Madden, and he's the type of guy who's going to study film a lot to stay on top of things.

Shame they're wrangling in his enthusiasm, but he's definitely made Nantz better by getting him to loosen up.

Has Peterson shown any signs of decline yet? He's going to be 29 next year, and I feel like you really notice when CBs lose a step (see Revis, Darrelle in 2016).

I wonder if they'll try to move Chandler Jones and David Johnson too.

Yeah Chiefs are fine at CB, although Peterson would easily be their best.

Not in my opinion. I think he's got, at the least, one last big contract of excellent play in him.

They will be hot and heavy. Would they be better on Defense if Fuller never had to leave the slot? Sure. I don't see it happening though.

They absolutely needed help at FS and they wouldn't offer anything beyond a 2 for Earl Thomas. I don't think they will offer enough to make this happen.
