I just watched this for some reason last night, so I'll say American Werewolf in Paris. That wolf looks like a Warcraft II cutscene.

Hah, I'd heard about this before but never seen it. The CGI in the actual ending is pretty atrocious too, mind, though it's still the best Marvel film.

Yeah it makes a scene that's supposed to be disturbing just straight up hilarious. Still a great film though.

I saw this in the cinema, having loved the first American remake. Most of the theatre was laughing at this, and the film overall was awful.

Isn’t Rare Exports missing from this?

Also, I just watched Trick ‘r’ Treat again. What a drat shame this doesn’t get more exposure. Bad enough it never got a properly promoted broad theatrical release, but it’s never up for streaming on the big services. Do films like this become “orphans” and don’t get streamed either because there’s no backing or studio behind it?

In a perfect universe Happy Death Day 2U makes so much money that they can rerelease the first movie, completly unchanged save for the inclusion of “In Da Club” as Tree’s ringtone.

Ghost hunting in 1980s Chicago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UigM78-2dT0

quote:

Here's a mostly complete edition of Chicago '83 on WFLD Channel 32, with Norman Mark interviewing the preeminent ghost hunter and ghost-tour organizer, Richard T. Crowe (1948-2012). Includes:

Starting with "psychic photo" taken towards sundown by "Tony (?)" at Bachelor's Grove in Bremen Township, and discussion of techniques of such photography and the history of the area and how it got its name; a photo slide and story relating to the St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929 and its site, 2122 North Clark Street; and a photo and stories about Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL, before Norman signals for a commercial break.

Chicago '83 bumper (with daytime shot of skyline with John Hancock Tower showing - and Field-era 32 logo) [backing theme music: "To Be Free" by Chicago (the band), from their second album]

Promo for daytime lineup of Daybreak for 10:00am and Hour Magazine with Gary Collins (who announces such promo) for 11:00am (with newer 32 logo at end)

PSA for American Association of Blood Banks - with Andy Williams

Returning Chicago '83 bumper (same shot as before) (voiceover by Jim Barton)

In this segment, Norman gives the phone number to arrange for one of Richard's ghost tours, and discussed are a continuation of the Resurrection Cemetery story, different categories and attributes of ghosts, stories about the Country House restaurant in Clarendon Hills (with pertinent slide), the Hungry Fence at 111th Street between Western and Kedzie in Mount Greenwood area (coined by singer Terry McEldowney; a slide of a cemetery shown), the old Murder Castle site at 611 West 63rd Street (where the Englewood Post Office stands now), the causes for ghosts, Chicago's burgeoning "ghost capital" reputation, and Richard's own Bachelor's Grove experience, before the next commercial break.

Chicago '83 bumper with night shot of skyline (with Field-era 32 logo)

Commercial: American Express Vacation Store, with offer for 7-day Carnival Cruise (main voiceover by ??) (ending voiceover by Jim Barton)

Return Chicago '83 bumper (voiceover by Jim Barton)

Norman and Richard return to resume the latter's Bachelor's Grove story (with "Weird America" author Jim Brandon with him in 1977 and another experience in 1978) and about disappearing cars in the area, Norman's amazement about his stories, and one of his tours of the Maple Lake ghost light, before closing the show.

Closing titles with shots of Chicago skyline, and voiceover (by Jim Barton) promoting upcoming Thicke of the Night for Monday at 10:30pm with Dick Cavett, Rick Nelson and Bubba Smith, and "coming up next" notice for Our People Los Hispanos with Carmelo Melendez

Promo for Taxi for weeknights at 6:00pm, with new 32 logo at end (voiceover by Jim Barton) (tape cuts out just before ending)

This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday October 29th 1983 during the 6:30am to 6:55am timeframe.

I still say the best way to reboot Friday The 13th is to do a soft reboot and set it in 1987, one of the few years where an installment didn’t come out in that decade, and create an alternate timeline where The New Blood and everything after didn’t happen. Pretend that the series left off with Jason Lives, call the new movie Jason, and create a new series of movies in a timeline that covers the late eighties/early 90’s.

Oh you've read my spec script?
