that's interesting, but I think the problem is most people aren't going to know they're being tracked and so wont try to modify their gait there are other interesting biometric signatures I've seen I did a proof of concept keystroke biometric tool in school, this is the gist of the concept mouse movement and clicks can be used as a signature as well any input device could work eye-tracking is another useful one, it pairs well with front-facing cameras on phones there are all kinds of things to play with, just think of creative ways to signature people

Some psychologists & psychiatrists are currently looking into using phone keyboard data (eg type speed, word usage, etc) to predict mood swings of people with bipolar disorder. Looking forward to Swype et al. selling that data to insurance companies.

Goons are not gonna get insurance anymore because the way they type "im gay" will tell insurance companies they're all depressed alcoholics.

facebook did an experiment a few years ago where they fed more depressing stories to some users' timelines and then did sentiment analysis on the users' own posts and concluded that they were able to make people more depressed lol

google's also gotten more and more sucky as targeted search gets a higher algorithmic weight like, legit can't get second opinions on tech questions these days without the porn window dance because it decides the first one you click must be what you trust and want to see also tons of "did you mean 'foo bar' i think you meant 'foo bar' gonna show you 'foo bar'" when you search 'foo not bar'
|
# ? Oct 24, 2018 20:21 |

use a -bar

works in english, does not work at all in languages where "not" is a verb conjugation rather than a separate word e: like, to be clearer, in japanese or something searching something like "controller disconnected" will get you results for "controller connected" half the time Mandoric has issued a correction as of 20:35 on Oct 24, 2018 |

btw if you stream a game on Twitch before release they can ban your rear end real drat fast, but shady slot machine streams with thousands of fake viewers that don't even try to hide themselves are an ongoing problem, apparently.
