I've never listened to Neutral Milk Hotel but I did go to this lovely art gallery a few years ago and see this one man show by a the guy who played banjo or some poo poo in that band about a janitor who had a weird childhood who plays tapes of his dead grandfather and sings in empty buildings when no one is around.

The Mountain Goats did an entire folk rock album about their love for wrestling, and that’s pretty cool, but honestly I can’t keep up with artists that release one or more albums a year. Guess I’m old now.
