Is everyone completing their dex that loving emotionally important?

I like regionals, and I think it's exciting that there are pokemon that I probably won't be able to get for years unless I somehow plan a trip to New Zealand or India (or make friends with someone who plays Pokemon Go and does travel to those areas).

And legacy moves are a pretty huge benefit, in addition to if you farmed the few dratini nests that existed before they put the kibosh on that. Also lucky trades are a early day benefit. Did they ever fix the GPS tracking so that your steps are counted reasonably accurately? I quit over a year ago because the game would never record more than 30-50% of the distance I walked, making egg hatching next to impossible.

I can't min-max my raid teams for poo poo by myself, but with calcy iv it's so easy that hell yes I min-max my teams. Also my gripe with trading pokemon with my friends is that I have a couple of friends who really want the distance medal, and that's fine because I have lots of eggs from faraway lands thanks to this thread. But then they trade me garbage mons like pidgeys and like sure, the mons I'm giving you aren't amazing, but the one point in trading these is also getting 3 candies using your bad machops or whatever. Like I don't refuse trading for a pidgey, but you could give me something potentially useful. (That's what I do when we're not going for distance  )
