Not about him as a person (other than his sense of humor, I guess), he's just very low on late night totem pole for me, but even with the prescience, I'd probably still go eww if it was anyone I actually liked.

They're the West Coast Avengers which limits their options in 2018. Colbert and Meyers have already appeared (and Meyers wrote a Spider-Man one-shot), and in any sane world Fallon is underneath Kimmel in any ranking, so... Desus & Mero & Power Man & Iron Fist would be better, don't get me wrong.

They've always had to slide back heavily into fanservice but that was they're primary market. It's all flowing and differing Trends, especially in the US. It leans that way 3 year ago and is now swinging back in the opposite direction...and it will happen again.

Jordan D. White has mentioned a few attempts at doing a magical girl for Marvel but none of them ever panned out. Probably before the likes of Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel and Gwenpool and Riri and Nadia and... A straight-up magic using magical girl could still be pretty cool though.

Man, you hear so many nasty stories about Jim Shooter (granted, mostly sourced from one J. Byrne, but as I recall Marvel Comics: The Untold Story isn't terribly nice to him either) but he was incredibly close to buying Marvel when Perelman swooped in with a higher bid and I have a hard time believing it would have been as bad. I wonder what Marvel under Shooter's ownership would've looked like. He probably would've put someone other than Harras in as EIC (maybe Layton or Fingeroth or maybe he would've kept DeFalco around).
