I can't find the last memory in BOTW the one where you have to take a picture of the erm...picture on the wall anywhere. I can barely make out the picture.

It's in a swampy place where there are a ton of destroyed guardians. You have to be basically right on top of it for the beam of light to show up to activate it though. I think you also have to have taken a picture of the picture with your sheikah camera. You should have passed through this place several times by now.

I don’t think I can finish Xenoblade 2; the game is wayyy too Japanese RPG for me. I’m only about 20 hours in too. 😔

I just noticed that an old favourite of mine - Crimsonland is on the Switch. For those who don't know it, it's an old style top-down twin-stick shooter. Very fun for a quick blast. This system just keeps giving.

Is there any value in any of the Starlink digital version DLC, or even any of the RL toys? Waste of money I'm sure but I have to say the concept is neat

The way it's focused around toys means everything including the digital DLC is a la carte. I think there's digital season passes, if you're into that. I've thought about getting the Shaid pack because I like her ship. Also it's the kind of game that seems like it will lend itself well to multiple playthroughs. It has multiple save slots afterall.

HenryEx posted:I found i can plug my dock into my PC monitor since i use DVI for my PC and have a HDMI slot to spare, but is there anything to do about the sound in that scenario? If your monitor has an HDMI in slot it probably has an audio out jack. What I did was plug that into the line-in socket on my pc and had it echo the line in. Only issue you may run into if the switch is off is it can generate a buzz.

If you accidentally bought the DLC for xenoblade 2 play that as its a drastically improved game mechanically. It wont fix your complaints but hey, its better

I've got Fox to level 20 and I've fully secured 4 planets and blown up three dreadnoughts. I received the physical Star Link Starter Pack as a present. As such I don't mind shelling out for a few of the toys; can you or someone familiar with the game perhaps recommend me which ones are most useful / cool / worth it? e. Alternatively I can still just download the individual ships / pilots via digital DLC anyways, right? Homestar Runner fucked around with this message at 03:29 on Oct 29, 2018 |

I just finished clearing all planets, and ended up literally maxing out both the arwing and Fox's skill tree, and my third and fourth weapon on the last Wolf mission (which I saved for last). He's 31, my other pilots are around 10 to 12. I also have a couple stars in Mason and Judge's and Hunter's vehicles each, but I'm mostly an Arwing man. So the exp curve seemed just about perfect, if you're playing with mostly one dude and mostly one ship. If you're playing with lots of different dudes, not so much. Though I could probably rectify that by duplicating some exp booster Vs and just kitting out in them. I certainly have the Nova.

Honestly you only really need one pilot, so for that I'd just stick with Fox. He's good, and he's Fox. I like having two ships that I use for different purposes. I use the Arwing for general purpose flying/dogfighting, and the Neptune as a heavy assault fighter/bomber. I get the sense that the Nadir would work for that as well, but Nadir is the only ship missing from digital standard so I can't really tell you anything about it other than that it's heavy, fast, and handles like a roughly cut brick. For weapons you're going to want to have the ability to do some elemental combos against mooks, and for piling on damage on boss weakpoints. I use the fire gatling and ice missile combo as my general use kit, but I'll alternate between the ice beam/gravity beam combo and iron fist/shredder. Iron fist is a literal shotgun and it FUCKS UP boss' weapoints up close. the elemental beam combo creates a singularity that draws in enemies and deal elemental damage. edit: You're welcome THE FUCKING MOON fucked around with this message at 04:01 on Oct 29, 2018 |

It's best to find an option for line-in playback level in the mixer for your sound hardware. The "listen" method does it through software and introduces a lot of latency.

My sad story: I bought Child of Light because Hollow Knight had me craving another Metroidvania, and it is not that kind of game at all. Meanwhile, the other suggested Metroidvanias are all nowhere near as good, and that leaves me with the grim realisation I have been utterly spoilt by the quality level of Hollow Knight, and nothing will come close.

Honestly I couldn't tell any difference between doing it through Realtek's stuff or Windows. Meanwhile I found that my TV's optical out introduced some minor delay and that drove me up the wall enough that I went and got a splitter to solve it.
