Much like businesses will do literally anything they can to get the most money, politicians will do whatever they can to get the most votes. if this means sucking big business's dick and appealing to swing voters because the more leftist people aren't coming out to vote then they'll do it. That's literally what's happened over the years. I don't know why this is suck a mystery to people. If you don't vote you literally do not exsist to the political system.
