How close was that DEN kick for those of us without Redzone?

The Seahawks are better than I thought they'd be this year, but they're just not ready to face up to the big guys yet. Too young, too sloppy, and Schottenheimer reared his ugly head again. One of the worse games I've seen Wilson play, too. He has to be way sharper than that. At least it was against the AFC team, but we need to beat the Panthers and Packers at a minimum to have a shot at the playoffs now.

Seattle isn't a bad team but they had a hard time staying in it after the Chargers scored on 'em a bunch in the first half. I really feel like the game was mainly close because Rivers kinda went coldish in the second half and their kickers suuuuuuuck hard. It's nice having a defense that can make stops in the red zone again. Solid win, Seattle's a hard place to go and compete in so i'm glad they took care of business.

The Rams/Chiefs game in two weeks is still going to be fantastic. So far the Chiefs and Rams have both lost to the second best team in the conference while visiting. Reverse who's where and I think they might both still be 9-0.

Hot take incoming: I'm no longer worked up about the Chiefs doing a fire sale on Marcus Peters and a late 2nd round pick return is sufficient.

Congrats to the Saints. They had pretty much the perfect game plan to stop Donald and they exposed the rest of the defense pretty handily. They were definitely the better team on the field and I look forward to the playoff rematch.

Who's at home matters (Saints homefield advantage isn't exactly small), still has the better record. Having just watched that game, 10 points doesn't seem like it was exactly a massive margin. I'd have told you the Chiefs were still the better team after they lost to the Patriots in week 6 (and probably did a few times in that Aftermath thread).

Who knows where things will stand at the end of the year, but the Saints are on a 7 game win streak, have won 4 of their last 5 by double digits, and just beat the supposed best team in the conference by 10. They’ve got a pretty good argument.
