The very original version of Goblin Slayer was literally a chyoa thread on 2chan. The characters were represented by copypasted ASCII art of those characters. There were gags like ASCII art of wizardry dungeon screens and crappy memes, the literal jp equivalent of 'you are about to be eaten by a grue.' at one point a battle was depicted entirely in final fantasy 1 recolors When it became a web novel they just traced the ASCII art. And then when it got official art they just spoofed those characters.

So when are we getting a prequel adventures anime? Anime fans like misery porn and I'm sure you can shave off the fact that it's Elder Scrolls fanfic.

The main thing is just about a bunch of weirdos hanging out in their house, making jokes. There's one or two long skits each episode. Aside from that there's the improv segments at the end of each episode, where the voice actors just do little improv games in character. The CG animation isn't great, as should be evident, but I got used to it quickly and it sort of works for the style of the show.
