alethia is more about philosophy than mythology but imo it deals with mythology too, just how it is made in the present versus where it came from in the past

It also kind of reminds me of the the manga Blame!, where a quiet loner with a ridiculously powerful gun wanders a vast city built by robots that have been on autopilot for thousands (millions?) of years, encountering isolated tribes of humans within that have been there so long they've evolved away from each other.
