in california the county and the state mail me free booklets with all the candidates' statements, all the text of each proposition, some for and against arguments on each proposition (and some supposedly "unbiased" description of the proposition) when i lived in texas i didnt get poo poo

It was interesting to see that the Yes argument for Question 1, which proposes limits on how many patients a nurse can oversee, came from a real person, but the No argument came from a faceless single issue PAC.

Colorado sends out a voting booklet to each house that goes over Arguments for and against all the propositions as well as whether or not you should retain the judges it's pretty loving useful and I'm surprised although kind of not that it isn't done in every state
